  • Yea the weather here has been quite shitty as well. Not a good start to the summer. Americade is having to deal with this washout yet another year.
Ok been talking to my new go to guy lol Rob (1BIGMOFO) for info. Anyway I was wondering what heads everyone likes best between these. AFR 205's, Vic Jr's, Dart Iron Eagle, or TFS 205's?
Going to look at what looks to be a very clean fox tomorrow. Its a 1992 GT. If I buy that I'll either keep both, sell mine, or use mine for parts.
4-5 lug conversion. How easy is it? I know it can be done, just not sure of the pain in the ass factor lol.

Just be aware that depending on the method you use, certain wheels wont work

Well once I go 5 lug I won't be worried about the 4 lug anymore lol. ;-)
Any places that sell aluminum hoods? Carbon Fiber is nice, but expensive and I don't know if I like most of the fiberglass hoods. I know they are cheaper and light weight, but most also look cheaply made. The factory aluminum hoods don't weigh that much more, and just seem to be much higher quality, along with better strength obviously. So anyone know if any companies sell aluminum aftermarket hoods? Cowl in particular.

If I go fiber glass or CF it'll probably be Harwood or possibly Boss Inc. I like sleepers too, but the sound of a built fox gives it away anyways lol. Besides I'm a big fan of the cowl hoods, they also allow for better engine compartment airflow, and a slightly more aggressive look. We'll see though.

Yea I've been thoroughly impressed with them and their quality, fitment, etc is always superb. Maybe I'll end up just buying the CF hood anyway, free up some weight, plus strength, quality and the fact that I don't have to worry about painting it right away are all key factors at this point.
Keep the Fox or go after a 94-95 sn95 5.0? I love my Fox, but those 5.0's are tempting. Always loved the style and look, especially with fat ass tires on them lol.

I probably will, unless something really catches my eye, or if I find a nice clean 87-93 notchback. I try to stay away from carb'd cars as it sucked trying to drive my Camaro to work in the mornings as it would stall out until it warmed up, so I stopped doing that lol.

Cleaner and easier to work on, plus I've heard efi swaps net you more power. I'm also only 30, do that's the first car I've owned that was carb'd lol.
Since no one reads threads lol i'll ask here ha ha. For now I'm gonna build my 302 which I'll ask for info on eventually, but once I have the cash I would like to do a swap. My plans are to have a 500-600rwhp car. So which motor would be best to get those numbers, and still be reliable and street worthy. What motor or setup would be easiest to achieve this, and be reliable at the same time. 351? 347? 331? 390? 460? 514? 521? 363? 374? What?

thatlll deff not be cheaper.. If you buy a 03-04 cobra motor, eaton to oil pan itll be around $7K then you will need a trans, and computer / wiring.. all for mind 400hp range (the way it sits)... and nothing beats the sound of a pushrod motor anyways!

I was talking a wrecked Cobra, but that's true. I love the sound of my Stang now and it's just a 302 with full exhaust and gt40 heads, nothing too major. It'll still spin the tires very easily.

wrecked cobra's with a good driveline, suspension, and interior are very hard to find (I have been looking for years) and they still bring around $12K... You know what kind of power you can build for that kind of $?
