    Most cost effective and simplistic way imo ---> 351 stroked to 408, carbed, strong suspension front/rear, shave weight, and rear tire size will be important aswell. Done....

    Im all about playing on the streets (believe me), but you should really find a lil less residential neighborhood to play in! God forbid a kid ran out in front of you on such narrow streets.

    You compared your motor to the topic. My point is YOU CAN'T! Did you not say "I spin my 347 to 7500 like its going out of style". But left out that it is a dart or sportsman block. I'm done filling this thread w rants.

    Actually my 331 is better than other 331's cause its really a 332 :p I still say stroked 351... but if you build a 331 or 347 put big heads on it. AFR 205's etc, AFR 185's and TW 190's imo limit a stroked 302. Assuming you have the cam to boot.

    Oh and imo rod angle is important once you pass 6000RPM shift points.

    No experience with an issue, but this is why i stated the rod angle above. And why i went with a 331, say the mach shop does a shotty job on the bore work and the pistons skirts say hello to the walls (not good). Is it common Naaa but peace of mind is worth the 16 cu in. BUT, in the end go...

    Well I prefer a 331's Rod angle/ratio over a 347. Will you really feel a seat of the pants difference with all things being equal, prob not. If i had to do it over ....351 stroked...

    dyno and carb tune

    Air bleeds man make sure you bring them!! In some cases they are more critical than jets.... They are so important to getting that AFR spot on. Although a dyno will only show so much, but is a great tool. You really need a Wideband to make a Carb shine imo. If your cruising AFR is 12's and a jet...
