Found out I needed to tap on the output and input shafts with a rubber mallet to seat the bearings. Found .028 of end play and put in a .030 shim.

I just rebuilt my 1990 T5 with a T5Z upgrade, .81 OD upgrade, 3/4 billet syncro keys, steel nose input housing, bronze shifter fork pads and bronze shifter bushing. I used the Hanlon video for the rebuild to a tee and at the end I had no input end play. Is this possible? The input shaft spins...

Also forgot to mention that the input moves nice with a little pressure
