Update!! I found the problem first I had two wires crossed on the solenoid which caused the starter to smoke and on top of that the 12v wire with the boot on top wasn't getting power. It's all fixed now and starts right up. Thanks for the input guys!

so correct me if im wrong, im going to loosen the tab that holds in my ditributor, hook up a timing light and pretty much start at 12* and work my way up from there and see what it runs best at from 12* to 18*?

Hey guy I just did a turbo conversion on my 5.0 and I need to set the timing. I've heard something about locking out the timing? What is this, how do I do it and how should I set my timing with this turbo. Running 10 lbs of boost with a blow thru carb
