i did that last year and do it for most of the swap meets there, but we really walked our ass off and did not see everything in a day. I know i plan on getting hood struts this year they install for free. also lots of good deals on parts i should have bought sequentials and resold them for the price they were going for.

I'm leaveing on Friday,If anybody is going to be on RT 84 west there is a rest area befor exit 1 port jervis on top of hill.PA border about 1 mile away,could meet there.

So do we have enough to get a tent? need 25 when people registered did they put down newyorkmustangs I didn't see it in the drop down trying to decide if i'm going with black mustang club or ny?

I will be up at the last rest stop area in N.Y. on rt84 west bound side just befor exit 1 port jervis
around 4pm if any body wants to run in a pack.

4 PM why so late? I thought it was a day event. How long does it take to get from Port Jervis to the track. I wont be staying over night. Is it a night event? I hope so.

It's 3 or 4 day's long,I have to work my day job,than I can leave.from that rest area about 3 1/2 hours away,sounds like u should leave fri am

I'm leaveing fri at 4pm staying 2 nights leaveing to come home Sunday around 1pm.Hope we can get a spot inside to park we need 25 cars to do that should be able to do that.

For what it's worth anyone on the fence about going,should really try to make this happen.If you are into Mustangs or Fords,this is the event of the year.Imagine you are a crazed rabid Mustang/ford fanatic(I'll assume you are) Now imagine you are surrounded by a couple of thousand people who are addicted just like you or worse......


I used to go to different Carlisle events,but weened myself off of them in Favor of Fords at Carlisle. I believe since the Ford show started,I've only missed one(birth of a child,on the Friday of the event) year. That said anyone going should try to go for more than one day, Friday and Saturday are the peak Days. When I go for two days,I can barely cover the whole show and if I stop to talk to anyone forget about it. Last year I did a banzai run(one day) with a Friend as we both have young children,stuff to do at home,etc.One day for this event is not enough,it is a long tiring day,but it's better than not going at all. Maybe I'll see some NY Mustangers there? I don't bring a car when I go though,I go to shop.I'll be the guy jogging through the swap meet carrying hoods,fenders,rims,anything I can get my hands on.LOL......


To end this post on a bad note,I also watch the weather like a hawk.When they call for rain,it usually happens.Unfortunately Fords at Carlisle has a history of getting rained on and when this happens the trip is a complete waste of time.

I rains that weekend in june alot its also the same weekend that the street rod nationals up in york pa . Last year I went to ford nationals instead tried to do it in one long day ride home was long after a day of walking in the heat. but the show is soooo worth it. Gostly echo if you go let me know what beer you drink I still owe you.

if you register for the show field it's 40 bucks if you do it before the May cut off. You park with your class you reg for like I'm in class 250 I think which is black mustangs. The $40 is the way to go cause that gets two people and your car in for all four days. If you go without registering it will cost you $10 at the gate each day plus you have to find a place to park outside the carlise grounds like the firehouse or somebodys lawn anywhere from $5 to $10

So if you figure two people one day its $30 no goody bag and a walk to the grounds or for $10 more your on the grounds with a goody bag for all three days.

The way the tent works is if you have 25 members sign up you get a small tent. Then the next year even if only one person signs up you still get the tent from what I've read over on the bad pony club. They are up to 50 so they get a medium tent 20 x 30 . The bad pony club has a great event planned with a caterer planned.

Last year I spent a good part of the day walking and only sat down to watch some of the burn out comp. lots to do and see including big ford display. Plus you can get frpp installed by ford when you are there. CDC also installs parts too can anybody say shaker!

If you have a shopping list bring it last year a bunch of places had great prices plus swap meet is almost all ford stuff very cool, one big regret was not picking up the saleen suspension for 400.
