Last week i got to remove the old Sniper chip that was tuned buy Mustang Magic and replaced it with a new Moates QuarterHoarse chip. I ran the USB cable in the glove box so i can hook the laptop up and get the bad boy tuned. Today i started to tear apart the motor. I removed the Super charger, power pipe and MAF unit. Then i removed the upper plenum from the intake. I was quite dissapointed to find out that there was only 6 bolts holding my plenum down to the lower intake. I know the bolts under the plenum are hard to do but come on... I don't want to point fingers but the intake and heads were "Magic" ly installed.... We I put it back together there will be the 9 bolts that belong. When i got the upper plenum off i found out a mouse stored some winter food under there as well. I got alot of much needed cleaning done while the upper was off as well. I removed the 24lb injectors and i installed my new 60lb ers. Got the rails bolted back up and i cleaned up the wiring a bit with some new tape. The old tape was very brittle and very ugly. I found some oil in the upper as well. Probably from the PCV valve in the rear of the intake. I heard it is a good idea to block that PCV valve hole witha freeze out plug to prevent this from happening. When i put the upper back on i put the pcv valve in the valve cover where it belongs and get one of them UPR oil catch cans to clean things up a bit. Yesterday i got a nice box in the mail with my wideband kit aka Zeitronix ZT-2 and ZR2 gauge. I did alot af research and this kid is as good as they come for the price. I went to Advanced Auto and picked up my new Optima Red top battery with my New York Mustang discount as well! It saved me $30! Yesterday i also ordered me up an 8 rib pulley kit for the SC so i can get my boost on! I should be in the 10-12psi range. I dont wanna go any more with the stock block if you know what i mean... I also ordered a new Vortech discarge tube with the bypass valve and a new oil feed line. Should look pretty clean when im done. Here are some pics of the removal and goodies! Im still waiting for my new P Mas 95mm MAF unit. Should be in by the time i get the pulley kit and discarge tube...
