Default Parking Brake Adjustment

Guys,

Quick question for all of you.. I am anal about my car and like to perform the factory maintenance requirements all the time - I notice that they have something in there they says to "adjust the parking brake".

How is this done?

Thanks!

Kyle

Open the center console. In the front drivers side you will see an access door. Open her up and then you will see the adjustment nut. You can tighten or loosen the e brake from there, but I wuldn't touch it unless there is a problem.

Got ya- It says it's part of there every 5,000 mile checkup - which I do oil changes at 3,000 just because I feel more comfortable with it... But, I have never adjusted that and it's never felt like it needed it so I was not sure if it's something that you guys do generally on your cars either.

I have 9500 miles on my car. The only time I adjusted it was when it was hanging up when it was cold. Dealer did the TSB and then I took out some slack. That was it. So again, unless there is a problem with it not holding or not releasing all the way, leave it be, if it makes you feel better, you can give it a little lube.
