Took the car out for a ride today, first time in a couple of weeks. I was doing a consistent 70mph, when all of a sudden, the "wrench light" came on and the car seemed to be running very rough. I immediately pulled over and turned off the car. Pulling out the owner's manual indicated a TBS issue and the car was now in limp mode and to contact the dealer. After about 10 minutes, I restarted the car; the wrench light was gone. I then drove home, without further incident and the car appeared to run normally; a distance of approximately 20 miles. I have read quite a few websites about this (sometimes intermittent?) problem. The suggestions were all over the place; ranging from TB failure to CAI to MAF problems. The car has a JLT CAI, FRPP Boss 302 Intake, Roush exhaust, and a custom-made tune by a certified BAMA Tuner. This work was done over 6 months ago, the car was recently emissions tested (NYS) and passed without a problem. The TB is stock and the cats are stilled connected with all appropriate O2 sensors. Anyone else see this problem?
