i have a summit street and strip dist. The light is an oldie but i tried it on my other car and seems to work. I have also borrowed a couple different lights from friends and same thing. Last night i put my spark tested on the cap and plugged cyl onto it with spout out and didnt get any spark. I have replaced pretty much everything other than the dist. I cant see it being bad as it might have an hour of runtime. I do not have a stock one to stick on it and i hate buying one just to find out its not that. Thinking about going to the local u pull it and grabbing one just to test. Thanks for all the input.
is it possable that the reason i can not pick up a signal with my timing light is that the dist? is junk. But the car starts. I have replaced the tfs and wires checked plugs. I am going to pick up a vacuum gauge tonight and verify that the cam is in the right spot. I am hopeing that i can verify anyway. I am ready to give up on this thing and either yank the motor and throw in a carb'd 351 on just dump the car and take a loss.... errrr.
