Engine swap price

Friend apparently blew his engine. I figured you guys would be ebst to turn to! Even if its something a little different then a 302:rolleyes:

Car is a '99 V6, and he's looking to just swap in a new (used) 3.8 to get it back up and running. Any idea what the cost would be?

I will get on pricing that today. Is is a manual or auto trans? Bone stock?

I can install a 25K mile 3.8L with a 1 year warrany for $1,600 + tax. That includes all fluids, filters and misc parts needed. Let me know if he is interested and we can schedule something.

I wish I could but that's a whole different ball game. You will need an engine, transmission, exhaust system, drive shaft, radiator, ECM and wiring harness among other things. For the price you could sell the V6 and buy a GT.

sadly i kind of new that i have the mac exhaust on there with 4.10's in the ass end so shes fun to drive around just not a gt yah know for the price of it ill just keep saving up for a newer gt thanks tho
