Unfortunately it was to hot (94 degrees) to do any welding today, so I finished grinding down the top center area of the original front valance that was cracked. I am trying to save it.
Nice pics, thanks for sharing & congrats to those who took home awards. I recognize that lot, I used to drive past there going from Gates (where I used to live) to Scottsville for work.
Today I spent a couple hours in the garage & I finished welding in the r/s outer wheel house & started re-welding the inner body support that is welded to the seam where the inner/outer wheel houses are welded together which had to be bent up out of the way to replace the outer wheel...
Today after work I braved the humidity & the heat & did most of the welds for the r/s outer wheel house. A few more welds & some grinding & I will be ready to install the r/s quarter skin. Pics to follow once I get to that point.
Spent a couple hours today sweating in the heat in the garage doing one last test fit on the r/s quarter skin & tweaked the alignment of the r/s outer wheel house & started welding it in. :awesomework:
Paul, I would go with the 3.50 rear gears. I had a modified 68 GT Coupe back in the 80's & I used it for occasional drive in's & cruises. Didn't use it much on the highway & the 3.50 gears really gave it some get up & go from a stop.
