My ranger 2.3 would chirp 3rd gear powershifting LMAO. One thing I had happen on one of my 2.3's was the camshaft lobes wore down, I've heard it is common on the older ones. Depends what year yours is. Without diving into the motor it is kinda hard to pull alot of power out of one. I know...

I've seen them all black, black with polished and do not like them at all. I had a black 93 GT and thought about it. IMHO silver or chrome Pony's is the ONLY way to go with them. I repainted mine back to the original silver with PPG base/clear and they looked awesome.

It's going to sit higher if you run a 28" slick, not sure what your combo is or anything though.
