  • HELP NEEDED....I have a 302 and am struggling with my carb set up. I had two open breather push caps but in an effort to get rid of the oil scent in the cabin i tried to instal a breather cap to the carb on the front side of carb. The engine ran a higher RPM ....i a guessing because the air was not being fully vented. Could someone with a classic stang send or post pics of engine bay with their setup. Thanks....

Don't know what carb you are running but you probably ran it to the wrong port. Why not just run a Moroso crankcase evac system?

Running a holley 4165 (aka 6201-3) and at the moment there is no connection from the carb to the valve covers and/or manifold. It just has breather caps with no connectors.
I have a 302 that is in need of tuning. Holley carb l6201 but I have sluggish take off with c4. Any recommendations where to go?? I have tried adjusting the screws but think it is in need of an expert. Recommendations for a trusted place in NY or NJ? Thank you.

Thank you Angie 06. I think my carb is good and I just bought a new rebuild kit for it. From my research I think it is in the setting up the car as it could be a few thing from changing springs or to change out the internal valves. I also read that the 6201 carb is good but a pain to find the right setting.

I had a 1970 Mach1 351 4bl the stock carb, I think was 650 cfm autolite, I changed to a Holley 735cfm , it ran great, but I do remember having to change the points often, the gold points lasted longer. - Angie is a 2006 GT with Saleen SC 575hp 410 gears 5sp manual and lots of other stuff. (very scary!!!) Tom
