Hey guys I'm running 3"(JBA mid-range headers, JBA off road Hpipe, JBA catback). It's really loud, don't get me wrong I love the sound but not being able to hear the blower whine when driving just feels like a waist haha. which part of the exhaust would lower the volume the most without making it too low? I'm thinking JBA catted Hpipe but I don't know if that would do the trick. I appreciate any input. Thanks.

I'd say your on the money about getting the catted H pipe. If anything, just buy a set of high flow cats and have shop weld them onto your offroad H, it'll be cheaper and its the same thing as buying a catted H pipe. The HF Cats or Catted H (which ever you get) will reduce a substantial amount of noise imo, it'll still be loud since you have headers and a 3" exhaust.

A catted H will def work, or a bigger blower like a KB 2.8 lol. If you go with a catted H I'd personally go with a MRT H, or if you want an X the Bassani is real nice too. But an X will usually add to the volume as the sound becomes more high pitched compared to an H.

But what about the tune? would I need a new one since it was tuned without cats?
Um, I'm not 100% sure but probably. Since the car was tuned w/o cats and you might put them on, I'm sure something in the tune would need to be changed since your messing with something already tuned. Not 100% sure though so don't hold me to it lol. Did you have the car tuned or you bought it with a tune on it already?

No, because the tune for the o/r H is to turn off the rear 02 sensors so you don't get a CEL for the cats missing. So the cats being there won't really change anything, except the fact that you can have the sensors turned back on. They get turned off so you can pass inspection without the computer throwing codes.

yes, i think the h pipe mod would be the solution.
either add hi flow cats or change the pipe in its entirety.

i personally like it loud !!

That's why I say just get the stock Eaton ported or add a KB 2.8 and the whine will increase lol. Then both will be loud ha ha.

Yes it is lol. I'd go with a KB if my Cobra weren't already set up for a Centri lol. So I'll just upgrade to a YSi at some point instead. :D

Hey what's up? It's Chris, the orange Mach 1, from the car wash. Thanks for turning me onto this site. What are some good spots to have my car worked on? I want to replace exhaust, from headers to the tips. If there is an inbox here let me know, I'll shoot you my #. Thanks once again.
