That Jay Leno is one lucky guy. Not only does he have one of the most incredible car collections in the world, but he gets access to most of the new cars before anyone else does. That’s the case with the 2015 Mustang, as Ford dropped by his Big Dog Garage with one off fresh from its unveiling in Hollywood earlier this month for an episode of his video web series. While Leno didn’t get to drive the hand-built prototype, he did get to check out the car in detail with the Mustang’s chief engineer Dave Pericak. The two don’t talk about anything we don’t know already, but it’s still worth a watch.
If you’re into classic Mustangs the video might be of interest as well, as Lee Iacocca, the father of the Mustang, and Bob Fria, author of Mustang Genesis, stop by to talk about vintage pony cars. The Mustang 1 Concept and the very first production Mustang also make an appearance.
You can check out the video below, and you can fast forward to 15:40 if you’re just interested in seeing the segment on the 2015 Mustang.
