Default t/b intake manifold question

hey all, i'm a newbie in the mustang world.. i have a 92 lx 5.0 5spd..
what are some of the upgrades i can do as far as throttle body and manifolds are concerned?? i'm not looking to race but want something a step up from stock. i'm having some idle issues,so before i spend $$$$ trying to fix it now i might as well look into upgrading it and eliminate the problem all together.
what are the advantages of the bigger t/b? ive seen that they come in different mm, what's the basic upgrade from stock?

can i put a setup from a cobra?
i know there probably silly questions, but i am new to the mustang world..

stock intake with 65 mm t/b sure .......not sure but i think after 75 mm t/b you need to upgrade the injectors ........but with a 65 your good to go with the stock 19 lbs....

For the 5.0s, it seems that the biggest tb anyone goes with is 70mm, and you will also need the egr spacer of the same size. BBK throttle bodies tend to whistle, and a few people have had a screw from the blade come off and go through their engine, (not the norm, but it has happened.) TFS has their own tbs, never really heard anything bad about them. But really just changing the tb without the intake is not going to make much of a difference. No need to change injectors until you are making over 300 hp at the crank. Better mods would be gears, sub frame connectors, rear control arms, short throw shifter, some things like that. The heads are the biggest restriction on these engines, and to do a new h/c/i it takes a good chunk of cash.

Also, what are your idle issues? Did you check for codes on it? Codes can still be present even if the cel doesn't come on.

here is what i have in the car.
373's
shortshifter
full length welded on subframe connectors
bbk ceramic long tube headers
cold air intake in the fender
small b cam(unknown brand)

i do have the check engine light on. i was told possibly cause of the cam.
i have not had the codes checked.
mas was cleaned and checked out.

my idle issue is that it stays high after i run for a bit and i come to a stop.
it will idle at about 15-1700 rpms. sometimes if i stab it,it will come down to right around 1000 but not always the case. recently tuned up,fuel filter replaced as well. i don't put cheap gas in it.
so i guess checking the codes is the next step..

Ah ok, so you have most of the bolt on stuff done then. Really a s/c, turbo, or h/c/i is the next step in power, but is definitely the most expensive too, lol. Doing the intake, new tb, and bigger maf will probably net you around 20-25 hp, but most people like to save up and do the whole top end at once.

Yeah I would check the codes and see what you get. It could be the iac, or the tps.
