AdirondackFox08's latest status update: Congrats to Harvick and the #29 Bud crew on the win tonight! | Re: t/b intake manifold question For the 5.0s, it seems that the biggest tb anyone goes with is 70mm, and you will also need the egr spacer of the same size. BBK throttle bodies tend to whistle, and a few people have had a screw from the blade come off and go through their engine, (not the norm, but it has happened.) TFS has their own tbs, never really heard anything bad about them. But really just changing the tb without the intake is not going to make much of a difference. No need to change injectors until you are making over 300 hp at the crank. Better mods would be gears, sub frame connectors, rear control arms, short throw shifter, some things like that. The heads are the biggest restriction on these engines, and to do a new h/c/i it takes a good chunk of cash.
