Of all the Mustangs in the Ford booth making their debut at the SEMA Show, this custom creation built by Hollywood Hot Rods was on the top of our list to check out. The Burbank, CA based shop went all out on the 2014 Mustang Convertible, with more than 400 hours going into creating the hand-fabricated metal body panels and aluminum lift-off roof.
“We really wanted to take the customization of this Mustang to the next level,” said Troy Ladd, owner of Hollywood Hot Rods. “Instead of simply adding accessories and a custom paint job, we wanted to really change the car. We used extreme body modifications, serious race car handling, huge horsepower and a full custom interior to create an American supercar.”
The Mustang also features a custom interior from Elegance Auto Interior as well as a set of genuine Sparco Ford GT seats. Under the hood is a Ford Racing supercharger system complimented by a Banks Power water-methanol injection system, and a full Cortex Racing X-treme grip suspension system provides world class handling.
