Hey I have the Xcal 2 tuner. I used it primarily for speedo correction for my auto... Since then I havent used the damn thing. I have tunes for stock, 87 oct, and 91+. I have yet to play around with any of the user end controls. Which ones can I safely change, shift points etc.? I dont want to touch the spark options, dont need to. Im unclear as to what American Muscle set the tunes for, i requested firmer shifting and thats about it. I see that you can change the WOT shift points, and firmness by %, but I dont know what to set each one to. Also does chaging the RPM idle help/ hurt? Should I download something from SCT or AM? Thank ya'

I would not mess with it. I have the x-cal 3 and i have a guy that does all that for me but this year i am going to the dyno tune that way i get all it has.

If you are going to start messing around with the parameters that were left unlocked, I would first learn how to datalog to see what kind of affects the changes have on the car. You could probably safely add a deree or two of timing, etc. but you would want to datalog first.

No problem bubba. I had my xcal for over a year before I learned how to datalog. Took me a while to figure it out and some time searching the internet, but now I use it quite a bit. I even have tuning done via email through datalogging. I have learned quite a bit since. If you decide to try it and have any questions just let me know.

I don't know how to do it without a laptop though. With a laptop you can log 20 parameters, without the laptop you can only log 5. I can't figure out how though. Hopefully you have or have access to a laptop?

LOL. My gf has become accustomed to me doing retarded things for my car. She half expects it now. When I bought the supercharger that I really didn't need, I figured she would be at least slightly upset. She laughed and said, "I am surprised it took you this long to buy one."
