Project Felonious Filly
Well, seeing as I can't seem to sell the LX for a decent price, I'm turning the car into a project, with plans to have it ready in time for the Mustang's 50th Anniversary. I *plan* to do all work myself, hopefully I can learn how to in time. With the exception of the first one, these are not in any particular order. The project will begin as soon as the car goes in the garage for the winter, probably sometime in October.
[] Strip car down to shell and put on rotisserie.
[] Sand car down and fill any dings
[] Shaved doorhandles
[] Shaved antenna
[] Undercoat car
[] Prime car
[] Paint car
[] Clearcoat car
[] Replace front window
[] Replace rear quarter windows
[] Replace all molding
[] Dye/replace gray interior pieces with black ones
[] Replace carpet with black one
[] Replace headliner with black one
[] Replace front seats
[] Convert brakes to Cobra or Baer 5-lug discs F&R
[] Replace pony wheels with chrome FR500s
[] Buy a 460, get it stroked (it's a secret) and assemble/install it
[] Replace headlights
[] Replace taillights
[] Replace hatchback glass with defroster type
[] Replace AOD with TKO (or appropriate) transmission
[] Replace rear-end with a 9" and go with a steeper gear ratio
[] Replace stock stereo/speakers with nice MP3/HDD deck and new speakers
This is all I can think of right at this moment. I'll update the thread if anything gets added, and will "X" off things as they get done. I will of course plan on photographing the process every chance I get, and hope to video it as much as possible, so that if there is anyone like me who is starting out without a clue, I can lend a hand.
