If you do that you will have to remove the boot on the shock and also grind off the bump stop perch. It has been done before, but needs some work. You can go with a 10" wheel and stuff some 305's on there. I am running a 295 on a 10" wheel.
And to widen the rim is $250 each. Good luck.

Yeah. An 11 might be pushing it and the gains are not that much.

Guys thats not old school,.And the main reason i dont like skinneys is rubbing when i pull into my drivway/speedometer is off/low tirepressure alarm/.....Its ok for LVD but not if u want to cruise..

I may just have my 18x8s widened too 18x10....ide like 18x12..1970 nobody stuffed meat under/inside the wheelwell, unless u raced a funny car...Would i like a narrowed rear end w/MTs sure but onna 08 stang it would cost 10k, because of all the pollution/computer/fuel cell....What i would have to do is have a set of custom coils wound to get it up 2 to 3 inches/air shocks/spacers..and no i dont want to lower car....Scrape city, thier nuthing more annoying too me...And u also have to consider pinion angle when going up. Rite now im just looking for ideas, im gonna take my time.
