I went to MIR (Maryland International Raceway) this past friday with Ronnie Diaz and all I can say is, What an Awsome Facility! It is about 5 1/2 hours away, but it is an easy drive and easy to get to. The track personal are very friendly and the main reason for going was to get familiar with the track because I am going back the first weekend in May for the NMRA "Terminator vs. GT 500 Shootout!" So, First pass on a new set of Hoosier Drag Radials it tire shook hard and I pedaled it to a 9.57 @ 160.67, not a bad start, now for the improvements. Second pass leaving the line at 4200 netted a 1.39 60ft. & 8.82 @ 161.94. Third pass we changed the tire pressure from 17lbs to 17.5 and took one click out of the rear shocks and got a 1.37 sixty and 8.81 @ 161.57. Ronnie noticed that the car was leaving nice but needed more boost to keep it accelerating hard, and we raised my shift point from 6400 to 6800. We turned the boost to it's max setting, 28lbs! So, leaving the line now @ 10-15 of boost resulted in my best 60ft ever, a 1.26 on a Drag Radial, but since I was not use to the car leaving the line that hard the second gear shift came on so fast it hit the rev limiter and I had to feather the throttle a bit and shift and we ran a 8.939 @ 161.46. So, we decided that we were going to make one more pass and call it a day, with everything set I roll through the water, do my burnout, stage and Hallalejuah....
