Our current project car...

The 92LX body you see came with a 4 banger. We dumped the V4 and swapped in a V8 from an 84 McClaren Capri that had only 50K miles on it. A/C and emissions we completely stripped from the engine bay. We retained the tranny from the Capri. Added new 4 barrel carb, new distributer and coil packs. Just last weekend we dropped the fuel tank to remove the fuel pump. Been about a year since we started the project.

My uncle is the true gearhead and is the one that does most of the work. My brother and I assist him in his direction. I dont know much about being a mechanic and havent really done anything aside from oil changes and tune-ups. It's truly an honor to work alongside him. I learn new things all the time. The best thing is I dont have to pay a shop for repairs.. I just call Uncle P! :thumbup

Hope you enjoy the pics and my short story. This is a sneak preview into Schaefer Racing (our last name btw).

No need to apologize guys. I'm sure he wouldnt apologize for his car. In fact its quite the opposite. He is very proud of his car. Alot of time and money went into it. It sounds great and is fast as hell.

I will definately try and do that.

I was over at Modded Mustangs when I saw the Syosset event. Until that point, I didnt even know of this place. I've been dying to get out there and attend some shows.
