Have you ever sat back and added up how many Mustangs you owned over the years? If you can count them on one or two of your hands chances are it does not compare to Jerry Cuper of Canton, Michigan who recently took possession of his 20th Mustang. Jerry took delivery of his 20th Mustang, a 2010 Mustang GT convertible at Hines Park Ford where he has purchased most of his Mustangs over the years. Jerry, a retired 30-year employee of Ford Motor Company has owned most every make and model with a taste for convertibles.
His first car purchase was a green 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2 which he kept for fourteen years. Over the years Jerry has owned two fastbacks, four hatchbacks with T-Tops and sunroofs, one LX 5.0-liter notchback sedan, 11 GT convertibles, a 2003 SVT Cobra convertible, 2005 Mustang GT and a 2007 California Special convertible.
As a Mustang nut living in Michigan you would think his cars would be put away for the winter, Jerry says no way as all of his Mustangs were driven daily no matter the conditions. He even admitted having to vacuum out the snow in his convertibles a few times.
Cuper's garage is even setup like most owners only dream of, having a floor drain, a sink with hot and cold water and a central vacuum system to keep his Mustangs clean at all times.
When asked about his favorite Mustang over the years he says it's the 2010 Mustang GT convertible he has now. Cuper said Mustangs get better every year and his current convertible is the quietest Mustang he has ever been in.
