I'm new to the site because I just bought a '00 GT Conv. for a 2nd family car. My 3 year old says I have to keep it until she turns 16, she's a cool kid. A lot of you guys in the Upstate NY might know me from the East Bank Cruisers club or Eastern Hot Rodder magazine. It's a magazine dedicated to the rodding scene in the east. Check out www.easternhotrodder.com for more details.
I picked this generation of Mustang because it seems like a fairly easy newer car to work on and I never messed with anything with OHC. The car I bought was found right around the corner from my house and is a bone stock 5 speed car with 83kmi. I wanted a stocker so I can document the performance changes in future issues of Eastern Hot Rodder. I figured it's a good car to add to the project car list because it's an injected "new" car and a Ford. The other regular project cars are the Gasser Blues '55 Chevy tube axle, dual quad big block gasser and Project: Shop Truck, a '46 Chevy chopped top pick 'em up rat rod on a super budget build.
I'm itching to start the performance mods, but I want to wait until I get a base line E.T. in the spring. Well, I guess that's about it for now.
