Ford Racing initially revealed the Aluminator XS crate engine back in December at the PRI Show in Florida, a 500 horsepower motor that utilizes the same technology and hardware that went into the naturally aspirated V8 found in the 2013-2014 Mustang Cobra Jet. Now Ford Racing has released more details about the crate engine including pricing.
Each Aluminator XS crate engine is hand-assembled by the same technicians that build the Cobra Jet race motors and feature many of the same premium parts like Manley H-beam connecting rods, ARP rod bolts, Mahle forged pistons, CJ short runner-high RPM intake manifold, 1517 CFM dual 65mm CJ Throttle Body, Competition High RPM pulse ring and 12 quart competition oil pan. Suggested retail pricing for the engine, part number M-6007-A50XS, is listed at $15,995.00.
