I am not worried about gas mileage. I will be lucky to see 3,000 a year. Is it a huge difference in combustion temperature? At WOT, there is not difference though is there? Isn't the egr valve closed then?
What are you usually doing before WOT? Lets say on a typical "spirited" drive.....your cruising in 4th gear or even 5th 6th, you down shift and hammer it. Not saying your going to eat a motor without it, but it does have a beneficial function. Remember your pistons other purpose is to act as a heat sink, and dissipate the combustion heat.
For a motor that almost every termy owner is looking to keep healthy and cool (via cooling mods, heat x-changers etc) this is just another. The newer vehicles DONT have an actual EGR valve anymore. EGR function is controlled via the VCT (variable cam timing).
