MaximumRisk's latest status update: I wish I could be poor for just one day......because this crap of being poor everyday is... | Re: What can I fit over Wilwood 6 Piston & 4 Piston Calipers The only drag wheels THAT I KNOW OF that will clear big brakes is the newer version of the CCW's drag pack. I have seen them on newer Shelbys with the 14" rotors and brembo calipers and they told me that they would clear my Alcon calipers with 14" rotors
when I spoke to them a little while back.
Give them a call, see what they tell you.

| Re: What can I fit over Wilwood 6 Piston & 4 Piston Calipers After 9 years and 3 Gen II Lightnings I had so many dam rims and tires I couldnt fit them all. I sold the L recently with (4) 18" Chrome OEM Rims with Nitto 555's all around, (4) 15" Bogart D-10 with Hoosiers all around, (Fatty's & Skinnys), (2) 15x10 Chrome Custom Made 1 off Rear Rims, (2) 16" Steel Rims with Hankooks, and (2) 15" x 12" Prostars w/30x13.5 ET Street DR's.
Now I have to start all over they were all 5x135 except the Prostars that were 5x4.5
I was hoping I could just grab a set of 15" Prostars or maybe some 16" rears rims w/ ET DR's but I guess with the Big Brakes that aint happening hu ? I know the CCW's are expensive maybe I'll just get an extra set of 18" rims like I have now and throw some slicks on them. I can get dam near new Hoosier 275 X 35 X 18 Slicks for $80.00 each on e bay but there a little too short (25.58), I rather go taller than I have now (26.41).
I currently have BRAND NEW 305/35/18 Nitto DR's but we all know they're basically useless , maybe I'll try some taller ET Street Radial II's ???
Thanks
If anyone knows / has a Big HP Big Brake Cobra please let me know what Tire/Wheel Combo you know of for Racing/Street Fun

I had 13" rotors, but went back to stock setup so that I was able to fit 16" wheels back there for a little more sidewall/ better choice of tires
You might not want to do that, but it is an option

You might not want to do that, but it is an option | I concidered this cause i have a set of welds with ET streets that I can't use and the nitto's I have now don't hook up.

(but they do have some GREAT traction ) Quote:

(of course your power level plays a big part)
I may just pick up an extra set of rear rims and throw some ET Street DR II's or full slicks on them and see how that goes

Glueyes's latest status update: when in doubt, whip it out!!!!! | Re: What can I fit over Wilwood 6 Piston & 4 Piston Calipers I run a ccw drag pack 17's upfront and 16's in the back.Honestly that size wheel in order to clear big brakes will have to be custom..The ccw drag pack is not that steep..It ran me 2500 shipped to my door with tires and lug nuts.Good luck |

| Re: What can I fit over Wilwood 6 Piston & 4 Piston Calipers I really have to Thank Everyone for the advise and suggestions
I just sold (6) 15" Rims/Tires, (4) 18" Rims/Tires, and (2) 16" Rims/Tires that all fit my 00 Lightning (the new owner took everything).
I had it all figured out and now I have to start my wheel collection all over
Those CCW's are expensive as hell compared to Prostars or other aftermarket but I guess they may be one of the only choices if I want to go smaller + taller, If someone ever gets a chance to post a pic or give me a Mod# and BS I'll have to keep my eyes open for something used (even just two for the back).
I just dont want to make the same mistake I made with the L and end up with (12) Rims and Tires, and have to switch 4 around every time I want traction on the street. Knowing what I know now (thanks to you guys) I think I'll most likely look for an extra rear set of Saleen Rep Rims 's like I have now (18x10's) and then try running REAL 18" DR's (not useless Nitto's).
I would love to know if I can fit these 345/30-R18's
(I do have a 1" spacer on the rear with the 18x10's 6.5 BS, in theory I think they woudl fit ???)
(you can get a used set cheap enough)
THANKS AGAIN
