DarkHorse16's latest status update: Who here thinks $800 bucks between an intake and tune is worth doing on my '14 GT?
Cool Caliper paint

I really wanna paint my calipers, but am unsure as to what color I should do. I would really like to do red because my car is all black, and hope to paint my rims black too and I think it would look nice to have the red caliper behind them. and now since I have the cross drilled and slotted rotors I think it would looks so mean. Opinions?

This is what I'm looking at.

My stang is black and I think red would be nice but it's just so overused that I've decided I'm going to paint mine black. Draws more attention to my wheels too instead of the calipers behind them.

See, I also considered black, but my bullitts attract alot of attention, people tell me they like my rims all the time, I think black is just too simple, I'm looking for the aftermarket look. My cars brakes would look just like the picture you posted. But I want to paint that bracket around the caliper red too.

Grabber Blue would look good. A guy in my town has an 04 Mach 1 that's black w/ grabber blue stripes and it pops like crazy.

I considered blue also, but I dont plan on doing any blue additions to my car like stripes or anything of that manner. Since I have the red taillights, sidemarkers and what not, I think it would match better. But now that I think about it, I have blue shocks and struts, that might work.

I'll post a pic of his car when I see him again. I'm just saying you want something different and Grabber Blue will do the trick.

I couldnt agree more. I like to be different, but for some reason, I just cant seem to picture blue calipers on my car. Definitely try and catch a picture for me, I'd appreciate it.

That silver actually looks pretty damn good. I didnt think it would look much different from stock. Where did you get that paint? How long have you had it on the car? and are there alot of chips and what not, does it hold up?

You can get it from g2's website or eBay. I've had it on the car for about 3 years now. It does have a few chips but it still looks really good. If I ever decide to change the color I will be using g2 again.

I didnt expect the paint to never chip, but I wanted to see what the life of the paint was like. What kind of steps did you take to paint your calipers?

I took all the wheels off and left the car on Jack stands. Cleaned off the calipers and painted them with the imcluded brush. You might get better results from removing the calipers and spray painting them. It's definitely faster that way. Then just let the car sit for about a day until they completely dry.
