So its time for me to part ways with this project. It's a 1987 Mustang LX with the 2.3L engine. Lots of work has been done to this car, all it needs is someone with more time then myself to finish it. I rebuilt the engine and it's pretty much all assembled outside the car. The timing needs to be set up and a few other nitty gritty things. Here is a list of what I did to the engine.
I put a new .010 crank in.
hot tanked and magnifulxed the block
decked the block
new pistons
pressed the pistons onto the rods
rebuilt the head which was also hot tanked and magnifluxed, with new valves, springs, lifters, etc
machined the head
remachined the flywheel
new cam
new water and oil pump
new oil pan
new clutch
new timing belt and tensioner
bored the cylinders .020
Honestly i'm sure there is more work that I did but I can't remember. I have boxes of parts for this car. Car has 10 hold aluminum rims with brand new fuzion tires with no miles on them. The car definitely needs a repaint and some (what i would consider) minor body work. The interior is in pretty good shape. I have a gray leather seat in the rear but I have the factory seat which will come with the car. I'll play it safe and say there is 110kmi on the car. I took the engine out to do a refresh as practice for a votec class I had in high school and found a broken piston ring that dented a cylinder. Had no idea there was even an issue because the car ran so good. I have a clean title in my name ready to sign over to whoever wants it. Well over 2200 dollars in the engine alone (young and crazy i guess). This car really needs to get finished and driven. I have tons of parts for the thing, im talkin windows, and other odds and ends if you want them they are all yours. I'm knee deep in 5 other cars right now, and i have a 79 mustang pace car project i would love to get to some day. I do have the hood also its in my garage the underside coated in por 15 and the top has all the body work done and in primer.
Asking $1000 bucks for everything. I would consider selling the car as a rolling chassis but not before the engine is sold. I will consider trades. Looking for a 400 pontiac engine right now but if you have something ask and ill think about it.
