UPDATE 1/30/11 - Well I got a couple of feelers from this post and never listed the car elsewhere. I've since bought 17x10.5 anthracite deep dish rear wheels wrapped with Nitto 555's plus a Mach chin spoiler. Also have an SCT tuner and leaning on having 4.10's installed when I take her out of hibernation.
I'm not really considering selling anymore unless the right offer/trade happened to come along. I'll continue to enjoy this car for a few years and hopefully end up in a 5.0 eventually.
Ok, so I'm pretty impulsive. I bought this car five months ago and love it! It's my first Mustang and on a whim I test drove an 06 GT and liked the increase in hp. I replied to the thread from "WaterBoy" yesterday who's looking for a new edge model and thought WTF if it worked out, maybe I'll pick up an S197.
So I'm not getting involved with Craigslist or Ebay, but I figured I'd post this on a local Mustang site for folks who may have an interest. Either way, I've already made room in the garage for the winter and the plan was to keep this for a several more years (also have a cover).
2004 crimson red GT anniversary edition. I never pictured myself in a red car, but it has a dark tone and much better than torch red to me. This is from Wikipedia - In 2004, Ford produced a special 40th Anniversary Edition of the Mustang. As an $895 option available in both Standard and GT editions, coupe or convertible, it consisted of 40th Anniversary badging, enhanced interior with "40th Anniversary" floor mats, painted folding exterior mirrors from the Cobra models, Arizona Beige painted "Bullitt" wheels, and Arizona Beige stripes on the hood, trunk and lower bodysides. The anniversary package was available in Crimson Red (exclusive to package).
To give you some history, I bought it from the original owner who is a 51 year old co-worker. I turn 45 on Nov. 5th, it's never been abused, is well maintained and was always just a weekend cruiser. Have original BOS and window sticker. Parchment leather with traction control and every available option except the Mach 1000 stereo (has Mach 460 6 CD changer). Also has an alarm, rain guards, hardwired Sirius cradle, and Mach I grille delete (have orig grille). Car has been tastefully updated with Maganflow catback, catted x-pipe, and JLT CAI. All work recently done at Mustang Magic (have receipts). Also has recent NYS inspection.
Clean Carfax with no accidents. It does show a failed inspection due to tire dry rot a couple of years ago, then you'll see it pass a couple days later (prior owner inherited another car and let it sit). So tires were replaced and they show minimal wear, not one ding to the body, some curb rash to the wheels. I had the car inspected before I bought it and it needs nothing.
KBB private party value is $12,865. I'm asking $11,900 based on the low miles, rarity and overall condition and am not too negotiable. I'm no way insinuating that this car is as collectible as say a Termi or Mach, but there were only 1,249 crimson red 5 speed V8's made (384 verts & 865 coupes).
The title is clear. Please contact me if you're interested - jccnutt@yahoo.com. I'm in Nassau County, Merrick. SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY PLEASE
Thanks,
Craig
