Default '00 GT in progress pics

Here are some in-progress pics of my '00 GT through the years. I'll start off with the fuel system. Some of the work was done in stages to keep the car "up"...

Fuel System upgrade: Ran a single SVT Focus pump + KB BAP with the Paxton NOVI 2000 blower setup from Modular Powerhouse for few years. Decided to step it to support a built motor in the future. Parts were purchased online from Lethal Performance, Late Model Restoration and Summit Racing.

03 Cobra fuel tank, dual Ford GT fuel pumps w/ Fore fuel hat (external Y-block) and rails, Russell -an braided fuel lines + fittings, Autometer electric fuel pressure gauge:

Fore Triple fuel hat setup for dual pumps.

Dual Ford GT40 pumps.

Fore billet aluminum fuel rails.

Autometer electric fuel pressure gauge

03 Cobra fuel tank.

Fore fuel hat wired with dual Ford GT40 pumps, installed on 03 Cobra tank.

Removing stock tank.

Fuel hat + tank was pre-wired and assembled at home. Tank install was performed at Ralph & John's in Brooklyn (Feb 2010). Aeromotive fuel filter and external y-block relocated behind rear bumper. Replaced the Fragola pushlock fuel fittings from Lethal Performance with Russell -an fittings.

^^As it stands, the new fuel system checked out and left plenty of fuel on tap. I was seeing max duty cycle at 4800 rpms with the old single SVT Focus pump setup. It's the foundation for a future built motor and higher boost. I posted the latest dyno sheet and vid in the intro section:

Here are some in-progress pics of the Bullitt intake install:

Cleaned up and powdercoated by Jr at Ralph and John's.

Bullitt specific heater tube installed.

Welding on short nipple on aluminum blower discharge tube.

Bought the used Bullitt intake with most of the Bullitt specific support parts from Ebay for $600. Ralph and John's in Brooklyn performed the powdercoating and installation. Not a "difficult" install...but there were quite a few parts that needed to come out out to make the Bullitt intake work on a 2000 GT. The PA Performance chromed alternator mounting legs needed to be shaved to fit behind the blower bracket. Stock upper radiator hose needed to be extended to work with Bullitt intake thermostat housing. Other than that, the Bullitt specific support parts were remove and replace.

In progress pics of the Paxton A/A intercooler I did in my garage back in Nov 2007:

Blower reclocked with Reichard Racing ultra-grip blower pulley installed.

Powersteering cooler dropped to make way for intercooler.

Tight squeeze for intercooler...but it all fits.

Stock Paxton intake tube w/ 90mm LMAF.

Modular Powerhouse 4" boost pipe marked for trimming.

LMAF mounted in passenger side fenderwell.

Installing intercooler piping.

Setup complete minus Vortech mini-race bypass.

Took it to Steve at Pitbull Performance to get bypass welded in.

The Paxton A/A intercooler was a very tight squeeze, but it all fit w/o hacking into any of the car's sheet metal. The powersteering lines going to the cooler can be extended and re-routed to make more room for the intercooler. At the time, I just wedged it apart with 2x4's to make the room.

Pics of some cosmetic surgery...installed a 03 Cobra front bumper to make use of the larger front opening for the A/A intercooler. Was purchased pre-painted on Ebay and shipped to my house for $374. The chin spoiler, foglights and bezels were purchased from Late Model Restoration. Saved me a trip to the body shop:

Stock bumper bracket rivets have to be drilled out to reuse the bracket on new bumper.

I didn't have replacement rivets, so I tapped the holes to accept 1/4-20 bolts. Rivets let the bumper sit 100% percent flush...so don't do what I did.

To complete the rest of the body mods, I did make a trip to Federal Autobody in Queens to have them paint and install Cervini's Stalker side skirts, MRT-B rear spoiler, Bullitt side scoop deletes, and black out the center section of the trunk lid:

What's up Wicked Xtreme! Yeah, we talked a little bit early in the meet...I was the kid who worked for Adco...and on the bench like a whole bunch of other journeymen in Local 3 LOL!

I'll post more pics of mods as they come. I do have pics of the Maximum Motorsports TA/PHB going in at Mustang Magic...not much I can do yet until I step it up with a built motor to support more power. There is a GI JOE 8 rib pulley set I have laying around ready for installation. The Thumper 8 rib single bolt tensioner is already on and working fine.

Thank you! I've had about 10 years invested in this car...started off with the basic bolt-ons and slowly moved up to a blower, suspension, fuel system etc...doing a little every year learning as I went along. I loved the whole experience! Getting ready to step up the game and make it a 550-600 rwhp DD reliable street car. We'll see how it turns out in 2-3 years.
